i love pesto but i never tried making it until today. my basil just looked so healthy and abundant that i decided to go for it. i checked out some recipes. i knew i didn’t have pine nuts, but wanted to make sure if walnuts would do the trick. basil, garlic, walnuts, parmesean cheese, olive oil, fleur de sel and a little vinegar were the ingredients. you can check some recipes here, here or here.
one of my favorite ways of having pesto is in pasta, obviously. so, this is al dente pasta, with about 2 tblsps of the homemade pesto and some sautéed mushrooms and courgette.
