fizemos manteiga há uns dias. já não fazia há algum tempo e foi a primeira vez que experimentei o método básico e super cinestésico do frasco. coloca-se natas frescas num frasco e agita-se até haver a separação de dois elementos – o soro e a manteiga (no nosso caso, demorou cerca de 20 minutos). depois é preciso lavar a manteiga cuidadosamente, para prevenir que fique rançosa. nesta altura pode adicionar-se sal ou ervas aromáticas a gosto. guardem o soro para usar noutras receitas. também fiz pão. experimentei pela primeira vez o no-knead bread ou, como lhe chama o Padeiro, pão preguiçoso e fiquei satisfeita com a simplicidade.

we made butter a few days ago. i hadn’t made it in a while and it was the first time i tried the very kinetic and basic jar method. all you do is put some double cream in a jar and shake it until two elements separate – buttermilk and butter (for us this took about 20 minutes). then you need to carefully wash your butter to prevent it from going rancid. you can salt it and add herbs at this time, if you like. save the buttermilk for other recipes, like biscuits. i also made some bread. tried the famous no-knead bread for the first time and was really happy with the simplicity of it.
